Sagle has been engaged by Safcol Australia to build their new processing facility in Edinburgh, South Australia.
After years based in Elizabeth, the Edinburgh facility will become Safcol's new home and is expected to double their production capacity.
The $30 million development will feature 24,000 m² of climate-controlled production and food processing facilities, supported by integrated warehousing and both ground and first floor office spaces. The design also incorporates provisions for future expansion, ensuring long-term operational flexibility.
With dedicated goods-in and goods-out areas, the facility is designed to maintain strict temperature control throughout the entire supply process, enabling full cold chain capability.
Additional features include five recessed loading docks and on-grade side loading to support efficient logistics and distribution. Thoughtfully designed across a total site area of 58,000 m², the facility will deliver seamless, high-quality operations from end to end.
Site works commencements in early June with the official ground-breaking ceremony, which brought together Safcol Australia's key global stakeholders, as well as the many consultants and partners working with Sagle on the build of the facility.
We are grateful to the Safcol team for trusting us with this opportunity to deliver successfully under a Design + Construct program.
