This 10,000 m² workshop and warehouse was built around how United Steel work. Three structural steel bays with overhead travelling cranes create a seamless production flow, supported by a 200 mm-thick double-mesh slab engineered for heavy loads. Fire safety was addressed through tailored performance solutions, removing the need for sprinklers and keeping the design efficient and practical. Heavy-duty pavements and an underground stormwater detention system complete the site’s robust infrastructure.
The biggest challenge was relocating and commissioning United Steel’s key equipment without disrupting their operations. Early access to the manufacturing footprint was coordinated through close collaboration, allowing production to continue smoothly and ensuring a seamless, low-risk handover.
