Sagle completes new headquarters for Puretec at Lonsdale SA

Sagle was proud to be appointed the design and construct contractor for the new state of the art headquarters for Puretec – a national premium manufacturer of water filtration products.

Located in Lonsdale SA, the building incorporates a two-storey office (800m2 floor space over two floors) and warehousing (circa 3 x 900m2 warehouse – 12m high).

The project was designed by leading Adelaide architects Walter Brooke with inspiration taken from the very product the client specialises in developing, manufacturing and selling.

Walter Brooke Designer Justin Wight said, “Water filters work very similar to each other – dirty water enters a chamber and as it passes through four or more separated layers of different media, the water is cleaned.

“It was important that this part be recreated on the facade building. To do this each layer of media was represented by either one of the two aluminium composite panel colours, clear glass or colour back glass. They stack vertically to recreate a length of repeating water filters.”

“Copper was a natural choice for the entry feature and added the wow factor because of its age-old history with water, shiny when installed and now a dull brown the material will continue to morph with time and exposure to moisture.”

Internal elements included polished concrete floors to carpet tile transitions, specialist custom joinery and an open plan office area.

Ongoing consultation with the client was integral to ensure changing needs throughout the project were met and the project was delivered within the 12-month period.
